By the end, the numbers stop being noise.

How a lesson works

Swipeable, not a lecture.

  1. 1

    Scrap introduces it

Every lesson opens with a line from Scrap, the mascot. He is not well. He is, however, consistent.

  2. 2

    One idea per card

The lesson is split into single-sentence cards. Swipe through at your own speed — nothing to scroll past.

  3. 3

    Then you try it

Tap-to-reveal, a slider you drag, a drag-to-sort, a scenario to judge — or a real card from today’s feed to read yourself.

  4. 4

    Quick check

Two questions, each with an explanation of why the right answer is right.

  5. 5

    Checkpoint, then capstone

A checkpoint quiz closes each module. Module 8 graduates you: read a company end to end, and read a Dumpstr card like a pro.

2.2 · Revenue vs profitquick check
Question 1 of 2

Profit is…

Revenue minus costs
Total sales
Cash in the bank

Right. Revenue is money in; profit is what survives the costs.

Your plan

Starts where you already are.

Three questions and a short placement quiz on your first open, and Learn builds a plan around you — including when it’s allowed to nudge you.

A placement quiz

Answer a handful of questions and Learn drops you into module 1, 3 or 5 — everything before it is marked done, so you never sit through what you already know.

A pace you pick

A few minutes a week (~40 weeks), about an hour (~20 weeks), or move fast (~10 weeks). Nothing expires and nothing is timed.

Reminders on your terms

Say whether you'll show up daily, a few times a week, or weekends only — that's the only schedule Scrap is allowed to use. Mute it any time.

A streak that forgives one bad day.

Learn keeps its own streak, separate from the feed’s. Milestones at 3, 7, 14, 30 and 100 days each hand you a badge and a streak-saver key — miss a single day and a key is spent automatically to keep the streak alive instead of resetting it to zero. Five minutes a day beats a panicked hour once a month.

Learn FAQ

Good questions.

Is Dumpstr Learn free?+

Yes. The whole course is free — all 9 modules and 46 lessons, the checkpoints and the capstone. There is no premium tier, no subscription, no in-app purchase and no ads anywhere in Dumpstr.

Do I need any background in finance?+

None. Module 1 starts by explaining what a company and a share are. If you already know the basics, a short placement quiz on your first open moves you ahead to module 1, 3 or 5 so you don't repeat what you know.

How long does it take?+

You choose the pace when you start: a few minutes a week (about 40 weeks), roughly an hour a week (about 20 weeks), or fast (about 10 weeks). Lessons are short — a handful of swipeable cards and two quick-check questions.

Is it specific to the Indian market?+

Yes. Everything is taught in Indian-market terms — NSE, SEBI, rupees, Indian companies — and lessons tie back to the live Dumpstr feed of NSE movers, so the examples are the market you're actually looking at.

Does it give investment advice or stock tips?+

No. The course's first real lesson is called “The one honest promise”: understanding over tips. Dumpstr Learn explains how markets and company numbers work. It never recommends buying or selling anything, and you cannot trade through the app.

What happens at the end?+

Module 8 is a capstone: you read a company end to end, read a Dumpstr card like a pro, build your own routine, and graduate. There's a final quiz drawn from across the course and a shareable graduation.

Where do I find Learn in the app?+

It's the second tab, right next to the feed. Download Dumpstr free on the App Store or Google Play, sign up, and tap Learn.

Start at lesson 1.1.
